Does a Mercedes-Benz with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine and gullwing-style doors really need more power and exclusivity? You might not be able to find a lot of logic in the SLS AMG Black Series, though this handcrafted exotic doesn't leave you wanting for much else. Mercedes has increased output of the V-8 to 622 bhp in the Black Series, though torque dips (slightly) from 479 lb.-ft. to 468 lb.-ft. We don't think you'll mind, especially considering the Black Series sprints from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds. Weight has been taken out of the car via the use of carbon fiber, carbon fiber reinforced plastic, lightweight alloy wheels, and carbon ceramic brakes. The suspension has also been lowered for a sportier blend of ride and handling. Available as a coupe and roadster, the Black Series goes on sale next year for a significant premium over the standard SLS AMG coupe and convertible.
